    Members of exeQutive and their invited guests will have a private, guided tour of the two main exhibits currently on view at The Image Centre:
    From Here to Eternity. Sunil Gupta, A Retrospective:  This exhibition brings together a comprehensive selection of works from the innovative career of this pioneering community artist. From his participation in New York’s radical Gay Liberation Movement in the 1970s to his more recent campaigning in India, Gupta has inspired generations of photographers, artist/activists, and advocates for LGBTQ+ rights.

  • Tour of Friends of Ruby Home - transitional housing site for LGBTQI2S youth

    exeQutive members and their guests will visit the Friends of Ruby Home transitional housing site for a guided tour and then gather for food and beverages either on the rooftop terrace, weather permitting, or indoors. Friends of Ruby is a welcoming space supporting LGBTQI2S youth (aged 16-29) through transitional housing, counselling, practical assistance and multiple activities.

    exeQutive members and their guests will visit to the Gardiner Museum for a guided tour of the Shary Boyle: Outside the Palace of Me exhibition.  Following the tour and a visit of the museum, we'll meet for cocktails at the newly renovated Writer's Room Bar in the Park Hyatt.

  • Picasso: Painting the Blue Period

    A landmark celebration, Picasso: Painting the Blue Period is the first exhibition in Canada to focus on the early works of the modernist master Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973). 

    Concentrating on the years 1901-1904, Picasso: Painting the Blue Period tells the story of how Picasso, then a fledgling painter in his late teens and early twenties, formulated his signature Blue Period style as he moved back and forth between the cities of Paris and Barcelona.

    Although we’re bombarded with daily stories on local pandemic impacts, we are less informed on the difficult situation in Africa which is particularly dire for LGBTI people.  On May 4th, members of exeQutive will hear from leaders on the ground in Africa with a special virtual panel coordinated by the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

    exeQutive members heard from the Carol Osler (Executive Director), Ed Clark (Director; and former President and CEO of TD Bank) and others from Friends of Ruby (formerly known as the Egale LGBTQ2 Youth Shelter) about operations at the shelter and how the architecture of the shelter has helped improve the mental health of LGBTQ2 youth who are living there, using its facilities, and dealing with COVID-19.
